Carpets can be a nightmare if they have to be cleaned and depending on what made them dirty in the first place. When it comes to cleaning carpets, the teams that have to handle the task have to do it in person and not remotely. Unfortunately, there were rules about in-person meetings, so everyone had to wait for a better situation before getting help in various areas of their house.

As a company, we made sure we were vaccinated and took all precautions to keep everyone safe. When it comes to finding someone to assist with your carpet cleaning requirements, most of the clients we were dealing with would pick the first person they ran into.

However, we wanted to create a system that people could rely on when they were getting through processes of cleaning their carpets without anyone coming over to assist. We should mention, there are some situations where they would need some assistance when it comes to cleaning their carpets, but in most cases, they would be able to handle it themselves if they knew what they were doing. Here are some pointers they can keep in mind when trying to get through the process themselves.

Tip #1: Vacuum three times a week
There are rules you have to follow when you are vacuuming the carpet. Some of them might feel like common sense but few might not know them. Rules like don't set the vacuum too low; it will restrict airflow. You want to make sure that you have a proper vacuum running, so you do not damage the carpet.

Tip #2: Watch out for a paved driveway
If you have a paved driveway, you will have issues with shoes that will track in the oily coating on the top on hot summer days. Walking around bare feet might be even worse. The stains you get from the tar are not easy to remove while cleaning. You can carpet a part of the house away from the main entrance, so you do not have to worry about dirty feet. The other option is to do something about that.

Tip #3: Spot clean with baking soda
Sometimes when you have a stain on the carpet and should handle it immediately. You can spray a water and vinegar mixture on top but remember to do that only at the spot where you dropped something. You can then wet vac it up or clean it up with a cloth which should both solve the issue. However, if they do not, depending on the substance, you would have to get a professional to handle it as these are tough stains to get out.

Tip #4: Use professional references
When you work with a team, make sure they are registered and know what they are doing. They should be experienced and have done similar work a bunch of times in the past. They should also be bonded and insured so that you do not have any issues if something does not work out the way that you planned. Very often, people try to cut corners or save money, but in the long run, cheap is not good, and good is not cheap!

Tip #5: Clean your carpets once per year or at least every 18 months
We mean to use professional help to get the job done. Many would be able to assist with the process, but you want to work with someone who knows what they are doing so you have a clean carpet and not a ruined one.
